A Jen-ai best seller and bound to become your favorite river, beach & backcountry skirt; the Oarswoman is made to withstand the adventures of guiding professionals. Its elegant design keeps you looking good no matter how long you stay out. Our friend Marci has even taken hers canyoneering and says it was great harness and all. Three slits make big steps over the gear pile and leaps across the side creek easy. The Oarswoman knee skirt features our comfort wide wasitband with a side tie and velcro fly with soft cord eyes instead of hard eyelets. Our signature hip grip™ holes let you clip or tie your bottoms to your skirt when skirt spin is unwelcome. The full sized pocket fits your phone and cash; the stash flap is zippered with a key loop for serious security.

FABRIC: Our Oarwoman knee skirt is made with our rePlay Bomber™ fabric here in Colorado! The fabric is 100% PET polyester from recycled bottles. It's ultra-durable, windproof, lightweight, dries instantly, and DOES NOT STRETCH. "It feels like you're wearing nothing!" And each knee skirt keeps over 12 plastic bottles out of landfills. We recommend washing cold and line drying to reduce energy consumption.

    Oarswoman Knee Skirt

Posted by Jenn Burroughs on 29th Jul 2020

I originally purchased this skirt about 12 years ago and it immediately became my favorite clothing item. For over a decade it was my go to garment for hiking, beach and river trips, climbing, casual date nights, gardening, cruising on my bicycle, dog training consultations, waiting tables, grilling, paddle boarding, grocery shopping, you name it. I don't think there was ever a time I wore it out that I didn't get compliments on it. The skirt is incredibly comfortable, as well as flattering. The vibrant, orchid color never faded, despite countless times when it was left in the sun to dry. The material never stretched, ripped, or lost it's shape. It was one of my favorite garments for flying home to the east coast because, not only is it comfy to fly in, but whomever was picking me up at the airport could always easily spot the bright color from a distance. The only reason I needed to replace it was because I failed to properly stow it in my kayak last summer and lost it to the river when I flipped around a bend.
My new, replacement skirt arrived promptly and fits perfectly. I was thrilled to open the package and see that beautiful orchid color again. Looking forward to another 10 plus years of wearing this one this one!

The fabric is stiffer thicker and less breathable than the skirt I got many years ago. But I love the shape. Please get some black in stock. The black fabric was lovely

This is a FANTASTIC product. I love it and have already recommended it to friends. I wore it on a recent adventure in Florida; sit-on-top kayaking.
The skirt is a wiz at shedding water, and being fashion forward! Cannot wait till Spring comes to Maine so that I can wear it on my local waterways.
